There is a waiting list for all Winooski Housing Authority’s subsidized housing programs. In order to be placed on a waiting list you must submit a completed application and meet all eligibility criteria.
The Project Based properties consist of three properties for seniors and disabled families and two properties that include two through five bedroom apartments for families. The waiting list time frame varies based on the property and bedroom size, wait times can be from between six months and three years. When your name reaches the top of the waiting list and there is an apartment available the Property Manager will determine final eligibility.
Once it has been determined that a family is eligible for assistance they are placed on the waiting list. When funding becomes available, the WHA will re-verify family eligibility and issue the family a voucher.

The Housing Authority is required to use HUD’s most recently published income limits for the Burlington area in determining income eligibility.
